I met Madison through Sarah's Laughter, a support group for women going through infertility. I love her so much, she's just an absolute sweetheart. She & her husband, Augie, make a wonderful couple, and I couldn't be happier for them that they have brought home a sweet baby boy through adoption! You can see how much they just adore him! And I can see why - he is precious! 

This was another fall mini-session. These pictures were taken downtown by the Capitol Lakes, near the State Capitol.

So happy for this family of three!

I absolutely loved this group! Two brother/sister duos, four cousins! All good-looking, too! They were all just precious... very sweet & easy to work with. We took these downtown by the Capitol Lakes, near the State Capitol. Great group of kids! 

Little Zoë & family | Fall Mini-Sessions | Denham Springs Family Photographer | Springs Park

Fall mini sessions are some of my favorites! I really enjoyed capturing this family at Springs Park in Denham Springs. Is their daughter not the cutest!? The last time I shot this family was for maternity pictures, when they were preparing for little Zoe to make her appearance!
It was fun getting to see her now at 3 years old. She has so much personality!

If you know me, you probably know that photography is not my only interest! I also have a big love for theatre. I love acting and singing and stage managing, and I've spent the better part of the last 15 years involved in our local theatre, Theatre Baton Rouge, volunteering for many plays and musicals. I've been on stage in a few, and I've worked as the stage manager or crew member for many. It's one of my favorite things in life. Community theatre brings me so much joy!

Last year, I was part of a group of women who launched a new theatre in Baton Rouge, a women's theatre group called Red Magnolia Theatre Company. We had our first show in October of last year, and I was lucky enough to be the stage manager and to work alongside an amazing group of women! I offered to take headshots for the playbill, and I wanted to share those with you here. These were taken at our rehearsal space, Pop Shop Records (such a cool shop, if you're in the area!). The backdrop is just the wall of the store! It happens to be my favorite color. :) In case you're wondering, my headshot was taken by Teresa Alvarez, another photographer in our group. She took our production photos and many promotional photos, all of which came out beautifully!

Meet Tyler! I love this guy. He's such a talented actor & singer. Not only that, but he's respectful and kind, and just a good person to have around! I was thrilled to be able to get a few headshots of him to send out for his auditions. This was just a quick session taken around his house, here in Baton Rouge. By the way, he was accepted into the BFA Acting program at Oklahoma City University & I could not be prouder! Can't wait to see what's in store for this young man! The future is bright, no doubt!

I was so excited to get to do this family session of my friend Michelle & her beautiful family! This time, both sets of grandparents got to be there as well! So fun! I love extended family sessions like this. I'm not sure if you can tell, but it was almost unbearably hot on this day! However, they were all good sports, even the kids! These were taken at City Park at LSU. Such a gorgeous spot!

This was such a sweet session at my friend Laurel's house. She wanted some update family pics, and some six month pictures of her baby boy.
